We have a large LED video wall and will have cameras in place, to guarantee a good view for everyone. As you can see from the final running order, you’re in for a real treat with all confirmed lectures & evening shows, ​ You’re heading for THE GIBSIDE HOTEL in Whickham, which is 5mins from the A1 & The Metrocentre. It’s 15mins drive from Newcastle Central Train Station & 25-30mins from Newcastle airport. Parking is to the rear of the hotel and costs around £3 for the full weekend / convention duration. The hotel is situated on a busy high street, with lots of shops, restaurants, bars and pubs. If you wish to stay at the hotel, let them know it’s for the convention and you’ll get the reduced rate. The reduced rate is £90 per double or twin occupancy for two people for bed & breakfast. Rooms are now in very limited supply! Combined with his already existing used magic for sale, this has taken THE ENCHANTED RABBIT from strength to strength, it is now THE LARGEST Used Magic Dealership in the UK... They were certainly the largest in the UK. Derek also was the organiser of the famous Blackpool Magic Convention. They also sold exclusive brand new items under the dealer name "Taurus Magic Supplies". ​ In Spring 2021, Cross purchased the remaining stock of Taurus, all of the used magic they had and also all rights to their tricks and stock. This included the Jack Hughes World of Magic books, props and more. ​ Taurus Magic has now been merged under the Enchanted Rabbit banner and has helped to grow ER into the largest used magic dealership in the UK today. ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ THE CARD COLLECTION ​ “The Card Collection” business was established in 1969 by Clive Leewarden and has been loyally serving magicians for 52 years... you may well have stopped by their stand at a convention and purchased some of their famous gaff cards, as well as collectors decks, gaff coins, sponge balls, dice and all sorts of accessories, tricks and gimmicks! ​ Clive, along with his wife, Anne, have been attending magic conventions around the U.K. since the 1960’s up until 3 years ago, when Paul McCaig took the wheel for the last couple of years, after Clive retired. The stall was last trading just before COVID-19 at Blackpool 2019... ​ Here’s to the next 52 years of serving the magic community - we look forward to seeing you at a convention very soon! our story so far... Claire is the on-stage assistant and girlfriend of Chris Cross and they've been together for almost 10 years.
